Our client had a loft space and a goal to turn it into a beautiful library and home office. The space had stunning mountain views but the space always felt dark. Rather than fight with the natural lighting in the space, we embraced dimensional lighting, and rich tones contrasting creamy bookshelves and desk with darker and rich fabrics and upholstery. We drew inspiration from British interior design with our fabrics and furnishings pulling in traditional pieces like a cozy vintage wingback chair and drapery.
This space is all about contrast – vintage and traditional pieces paired with traditional and contemporary, designer fabrics mixed with retail furnishings, light creamy hard finishes paired with rich tones in the upholstery and drapery. We loved styling the space with our client’s own artwork as well as some pieces sourced from local artists and vintage frames.
